The country aims to achieve carbon neutrality in other sectors by 2060. The country has executed many projects to preserve the environment and reduce emissions, the Kuwaiti minister told Kuwait News Agency on the sidelines of the COP27 and the Middle East Green Initiative summits currently held in Egypt. The minister stressed that Kuwait sticks to all the commitments it made since the launching of the first climate conference in the Brazilian capital in 1992 all the way to the Paris conference in 2015. Last year, the UAE had announced a new Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
