In a feat that is now going viral, British inventor Richard Browning, nicknamed the Flying Iron Man, has been filmed taking off from the Museum of the Future in Dubai and delivering special invitations to visit the museum.

The stylised video shows the jetpack-powered Browning taking off from the museum and landing at various locations in the city including Dubai Mall, a school, and Bluewaters Island with the newly opened Ain Dubai attraction in the background.

The video shared by Khaled AlShehhi, executive director at UAE Government Media Office, ends with Browning landing back into the fully illuminated Museum of the Future post sunset.

Last week, AlShehhi had also shared footage of a flying craft approaching the Museum of the Future. The roof of the museum retracts, with the craft landing inside it after which the roof closes once again.

The Museum of the Future will be officially opened on Tuesday, February 22. Entry tickets are available to book for Dhs145. Children under the age of three can enter for free and explore the Future Heroes area. Complimentary tickets are also available for senior Emirati citizens above the age of 60, people of determination and one accompanying caregiver.

Designed by architect Shaun Killa, the building spans an area of 30,000 square metres, with the seven-storey pillarless structure rising 77 metres above the ground. The stainless-steel facade, which extends over 17,000-square metres, is illuminated by 14,000 metres of Arabic calligraphy designed by the Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej. The facade consists of 1,024 plates manufactured entirely by robots.
