Dubai Summer Surprises 2022: Discounts of up to 90% on offer

From a 25-hour sale, up to 90 per cent discounts at major retail outlets and a mega raffle prize of Dhs1m, the latest edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) has been specially curated to give everyone a summer full of surprises.

The 25th edition of this annual event will be held from July 1 to September 4, 2022. It will bring in a wide range of activities, sales, prizes and entertainment during those ten weeks.

The 25 hour sale will ktart the 25^th anniversary edition of DSS on July 1 and 2. In association with Majid Al Futtaim malls, residents and visitors can visit Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira, City Centre Me‘aisem and City Center Al Shindagha to enjoy massive sales starting from 25 per cent, all the way up to 90 per cent off.

Organised and presented by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the silver anniversary of DSS was officially announced in the presence of Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO- DFRE; Suhaila Ghubash, ED, Festivals & Events DFRE; Mohammed Feras, director, Retail Registration DFRE and Abdalla Al Ameeri, director Raffles & Retail Promotions DFRE.

“Dubai Summer Surprises has been at the heart of Dubai’s summer season for a quarter of a century, shaping memories and creating unforgettable experiences for everyone in our great city. This year is no exception, with a programme that showcases the very best Dubai has to offer across our malls and entertainment experiences, restaurants, hotels and more,” said Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).

“All of Dubai’s malls, retail stores and attractions are ready to welcome the world this summer – while continuing to adhere to stringent health and safety protocols from our public health authorities to keep all visitors and residents safe and at ease,” he added.

From retail sales, gastronomy, movie magic, mall activations  and entertainment shows; the offers will be unveiled daily, 24 hours ahead of time and valid from 10am until stocks last.

During its shopping extravaganza, people can enjoy offers across over 800 brands in 3,500 outlets and avail 25 to 75 per cent off.  DSS will also offer an exclusive, specially curated flash sale on hotel stays, which will only be available for 24 hours. Moreover, Majid Al Futtaim SHARE rewards members can enter a raffle draw for the chance to win one million points from a purchase worth a minimum of Dhs300 using the application. The lucky millionaire will be drawn on 7 July.

In addition, DSS has a host of live concerts, music events, live performances, decorative lighting installations throughout the city. Visitors can also take part in colourful parades across various malls such as the 25th Anniversary silver parade and the carnival parade or even spot the official Modhesh and Dana mascots across the city.

For food lovers, Summer Restaurant Week will return from August 12 to 28. For a limited time, they can explore 50 of Dubai’s best restaurants, with special breakfast, lunch and dinner deals at discounted prices.
