Air India has ramped up services to Dubai with more nonstop flights from Delhi and Mumbai.

In the current summer schedule, Air India has increased the frequency of its operations to up to 10 daily flights between Delhi and Dubai (in both directions), including a new flight that starts on April 29, 2023.

As for the Mumbai-Dubai route, Air India now operates up to six daily flights in both directions.

The schedule of the flights is below:

Air India has deployed its twin-aisle Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft on the majority of daily flights to Dubai from Delhi and Mumbai. That aircraft includes fully-flat beds in business class and 238 economy seats. Apart from the Dreamliner, the carrier will also use its Airbus A320/321 aircraft on these routes.

Earlier this year, Air India signed agreements for just under 500 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, in what was at the time the largest purchase of commercial passenger aircraft in history.

The airline has agreed to purchase 250 Airbus planes, split between 210 single-aisle A320neos and 40 widebody A350s, and 220 Boeing aircraft including 190 of its B737 Max narrowbody jets, 20 B787 widebodies and ten B777Xs.

Air India was purchased by Tata Group in early 2022, and late last year Tata and Singapore Airlines announced plans to merge Air India with Vistara (the latter being a joint venture between the two groups).
