The clubs will remain closed until further notice, the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported. The cabinet also ordered the Ministry of Defence and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) to assign their hospitals to support the country’s healthcare system. Kuwait’s Health Ministry reported 1,770 new Covid-19 cases and 19 deaths on Monday, bringing the total of infections to 377,364 and deaths to 2,136. All of the 19 people who died were unvaccinated, ministry spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad confirmed. Currently, 331 patients are in ICU because of the virus while 1,175 are in hospital. The ministry also reported 1,694 recoveries on Monday, bring the total number of recoveries in the country to 357,256.
