Stratus was acquired by Arcapita in late 2017 and its enterprise value has since tripled, according to the person, who declined to be identified as the matter is private. Revenue at Stratus, whose customers include Starbucks Corp. and McDonald’s Corp., has also tripled in this period to more than $300m in 2021, according to a statement. Arcapita has completed more than $15bn in US private equity investments over the past 24 years. Since its founding in 1988, Vestar funds have invested $8bn in 85 companies.
