Home World Middle East Xylem expands footprint in Turkey with acquisition of Anadolu Flygt Prior to the acquisition, Xylem held 46 per cent shares of Anadolu Flygt by Gulf Business October 21, 2021 Xylem has further expanded its regional footprint with the acquisition of Turkey’s pumping and water treatment systems company, Anadolu Flygt. The acquisition will allow the company to service a broader range of countries across the region and further accelerate Xylem’s growth in the Middle East market with an enhanced suite of digital water solutions, as well as proven systems for sustainable water use. Naji Skaf, managing director for Middle East and Turkey, Xylem said: “With our focus on building smart water enterprises through digital, sustainable and efficient water and wastewater treatment solutions, we will continue to invest in opportunities to address water infrastructure challenges across the region and meet the requirements of our customers and end-users.” Feyyaz Yumurtacı, general manager of Anadolu Flygt, said: “We have been having discussions for quite some time now and are very pleased to have reached this important milestone. We look forward to working closely with the Xylem team to ensure a smooth transition and integration of services.” Prior to the acquisition, Xylem held 46 per cent shares of Anadolu Flygt. Anadolu Flygt has expertise in package pump stations, advanced water & wastewater pumping systems, filtration systems, UV disinfection, Ozone oxidation, treatment systems, blowers, mixers, electrical control panels and automation systems, instrumentation and rentals of pumping equipment. Its nearly 100-strong workforce have been integrated under Xylem. The acquisition of Anadolu Flygt is the latest in a number of acquisitions by Xylem in the Advanced Infrastructure Analytics (AIA) space in recent months, including EmNet and Pure Technologies.
