Home Technology Cloud Oracle signs multiple partnerships at CloudWorld Tour Abu Dhabi The Oracle CloudWorld Tour is the company’s annual event that showcases the latest innovations in cloud infrastructure, databases and applications across diverse industries by Divsha Bhat May 4, 2023 Oracle hosted its annual flagship event, the CloudWorld Tour, in Abu Dhabi on May 3, 2023. The event was hosted at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), where the cloud company signed multiple partnerships with leading organisations in the region. Partnership with Injazat Abu Dhabi’s digital transformation company, Injazat partnered with Oracle to create an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) dedicated region within Injazat’s data centres. This will enable the UAE’s federal government and Abu Dhabi’s local government entities to access Oracle cloud applications and infrastructure services while complying with regulatory requirements. Partnership with UAE Cyber Security Council Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the UAE Cyber Security Council and Oracle at the event. The two organisations agreed to work together to strengthen the UAE’s cybersecurity framework by exchanging information on IT security risks, providing updates on latest cybersecurity technology solutions, sharing educational material, and conducting continuous training on cybersecurity related topics across all sectors. Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, head of UAE Cyber Security Council said: “The UAE is at the forefront of creating a state of the art and secure digital infrastructure to help drive the country’s digital economy growth.” He added that “we at the Cybersecurity Council are determined to build a cybersecurity system that protects all vital sectors in the country, supported by a safe and efficient environment in accordance with international best practices. In addition, e& will be able to retain full control of its data and applications to help it address the UAE’s security, regulatory and data residency requirements while reducing operational costs.
